Obesity Findings in UAE: 98% of those polled think that lifestyle in the UAE leads to obesity. 92% of those polled were either trying to lose weight or were intending to lose weight in the future. 54% of those polled had been advised by their doctor to lose weight. 43% agreed that they have been subjected to taunting or negative comments, or suffered discrimination regarding their weight. 63% believed that there is sufficient support given to them when they are trying to lose weight.
