What is medical malpractice insurance? It is the name given to a certain amount of insurance money that doctors have to pay against any medical malpractice. . This is one of the prickliest legal aspects of the medical system. Paying the medical malpractice insurance is mandatory for doctors in order to practice.

What is medical malpractice insurance?

The prevalence of bargain healthcare providers has been instrumental in this regard. Lawsuits are rampant and are often settled for large amounts of money. While the patient is dead (often it happens not necessary due to negligence) the families of the victims and deceased expect payments for grievances and loss of life. Most hospitals are stuck with payouts with such cases. They have no alternative but to increase their fees. The vicious circle continues and is now a malady of the same medical fraternity that has been the role model for overseas units. When relatives sue the doctors, there is little else that the skilled professional can do. A high degree of proof is the only solution to save the doctor who is at the mercy of the victims. There are special lawyers who deal in medical malpractice insurance. In the last two decades the rates have risen. In the case of surgeons whose operations have gone wrong the premium is higher. When there is no operation involved the rates are low.
